How to start a call from a conversation in Teams?
From your desktop:
You can make individual or group calls to anyone in your organization directly from a conversation without having to host a team meeting. These calls are private and will not appear in any team conversation. However, tickets for these calls will appear in the chat.
Up to 20 people can be on the same video call.
Note: If a group chat includes more than 20 people, the call buttons will be disabled.
If you are not currently in a conversation with the person you want to call, you can start a new call from a command.
From your smartphone:
You can start calls from individual or group chats:
You can also start a call from a user’s Profile card. To open it, tap your profile image on a channel or from a search.
How to Call a phone number from Teams?
To dial a number from Teams:
Important: If Teams is not connected to the Internet, you will not be able to make an emergency 911 call.
