It has been a year of changes, and Cisco knows it; that’s why in recent days presented through an event called WebexOne, the new features that will have Webex, one of its most popular products.

Given the pandemic’s direct consequences, including having to work from home, Webex became practically a must for businesses. However, we must remember that there are many collaboration tools that have similar functions to Webex; hence Cisco decided to add new features that will revolutionize the way we make virtual meetings.

Some features are already available, and others that will come in the coming months; we will start with the first.

New Webex features available Now:

• Noise cancellation, closed subtitles and transcripts: In days leading up to Webex One, Cisco had announced that it would provide its users with the ability to improve their meeting experience, but the formal presentation was made through the event.

1. Noise canceling offers the user the possibility of removing any external sound causing interference.
2. Closed subtitles allow the user to activate this function to visualize textually what their interlocutor is saying. This is very functional if the sound is unavailable or not clearly audible.
3. Transcripts: Missed a meeting? You don’t have to worry anymore, because everything will be recorded.

• Improved video designs: This will allow you to monitor the reaction of certain people throughout the meeting.

• Webex Huddle: Once in a while, meetings arise spontaneously, and with this function, people will be able to connect without having to have the meeting scheduled.

Webex features available soon:

• Gestures during the meeting:  This function will allow users to have a more friendly communication. Since if you like something or on the contrary you do not agree with something in particular, you can make a gesture and the AI algorithm will see it and represent it in an icon inside the screen; all this without the need to click on icons or emoticons.

• Immersive sharing: It gives users the ability to view both the content and the presenter in parallel.

• Real-time translation: The user will have access to real-time transcription of at least ten languages. A valuable feature given that sometimes our interlocutor can speak a language different from ours and have no fluency or knowledge.

• Large meetings: Webex will offer the possibility to have up to 25,000 attendees connected in a meeting. And not only that, now you can use the live streaming service of Webex Events, with a capacity for 100,000 people.

• Pause and Resumption of Meetings: This feature will give users the ability to pause a meeting, take a call, and resume the session.

New devices

If a high-quality experience is spoken of, Cisco has definitely known how to offer its users functional, practical, and advanced devices. WebexOne was the perfect opportunity to showcase new collaboration points for desktop.

2. 3. Webex Desk: This all-in-one device offers many of the most popular Cisco´s Desk Pro features at a competitive price, making it easy for you to connect and collaborate with ease.
